Download the Virtual Private Network XML Profile

The Cisco Secure Client supports the use of various profiles to configure the deployment of the client modules. A Cisco Secure Client module may require a certain profile present to install the module successfully.

The Cisco Secure Client virtual private network (VPN) module requires the VPN XML profile. Cisco Secure Client installs with the VPN module. You can download the Cisco Secure Client VPN profile from Secure Access. For more information, see Download the Cisco Secure Client VPN Profile.

The Cisco Secure Client VPN profile configures the VPN module on the user device and connects clients securely to resources protected by Secure Access.

Prerequisites

• Full Admin user role. For more information, see Manage Accounts.

Procedure

Download the Cisco Secure Client VPN profile to the user device.

Step 1 – Download the Cisco Secure Client VPN Profile

The Cisco Secure Client VPN profile describes the connection and security metadata for the VPN module.

1. Navigate to Connect > End User Connectivity > Virtual Private Network.
2. For a VPN profile, click Download XML to save the Cisco Secure Client VPN profile to the local system.

Step 2 – Copy the VPN Profile to the Target Directory

Copy the Cisco Secure Client VPN XML file to the Cisco Secure Client VPN profile directory on the user devices.
