View Protection Status of Chromebook Devices

After deploying the Cisco Security for Chromebook client to your ChromeOS devices, you can view the state of protection on the devices.

Note: Fail Open and Fail Close** states are specific to SWG protection.

Procedure

1. Click the Cisco Security for Chromebook icon.

Protected — Device is protected by SWG-layer and DNS-layer security.

Fail Open — Device protection is suspended.

Fail Close — Device protection is suspended.

Registration or Sync Failure — Device is not protected.

Disabled — Device is not protected.
