Set Up Experience Insights

This topic explains the tasks you will perform to set up Experience Insights, which include:

• pasting your OAuth Bearer token.
• choosing your organization's collaboration application.
• registering ThousandEyes on your end devices.

System Requirements

To install and run the endpoint agent, you must meet ThousandEyes system requirements.

Prerequisites

• Recommended: You installed the ThousandEyes endpoint agent on all endpoints in your organization.
• You must have set up RAVPN. For instructions, see Remote Access VPN Log Formats.
• You must have an OAuth bearer token that you copied from the ThousandEyes application.
  • Note: You must have a Cisco ThousandEyes account with administrator access to generate the token. For instructions on generating and copying the token, see Generate OAuth Bearer Token.

Procedure

1. Navigate to Experience Insights > Insights Management> Management.
2. On the Experience Insights landing page, click Connect ThousandEyes.

3. Read the onscreen instructions in the wizard.
4. Click Next.

5. Paste the OAuth bearer token you copied from the ThousandEyes application.
6. Click Authorize.
7. Click Next.

8. A confirmation message displays.
9. Click Next.

10. Choose your organization's unified collaboration application.
11. Click Next.

12. Copy the ThousandEyes agent registration script section for your operating system.
13. Click Done.

14. Run the script on a command line to install the ThousandEyes agent on every endpoint in your organization.

Result: The endpoints are now available in Experience Insights and will begin reporting data. To see the list of endpoints, navigate to: Experience Insights > Management.
