Identity and DNS Deployment
A Secure Access identity represents a network entity, user, or group. You can add an identity to an Umbrella policy, and enable security settings and destination access controls. For more information, see Get Started With Internet Access Policy.
Secure Access can identify a user, group, or network entity by:
- Public IP address
- Internal IP address and hostname
- Network device information
- Active Directory (AD) users and groups
- G Suite identity
The following table describes the Secure Access DNS deployment and identity types.
